Initially built in 1617, the pagodo is part of a complex shrine complex, registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999. The pagoda, destroyed by fire in 1815 and rebuilt in 1818, is designated an Important Cultural Property. The wonder and beauty of the structure is still admired by many today.
